The fishing remains good on the Yakima River. The nymphing and streamer fishing has been the most consistent, but there are windows through out the day where we are getting some dry fly action still. There were some great hatches coming off yesterday. There was a great pmd and bwo hatch followed by some caddis. If you are out on the river please be aware of the salmon reds that are in the shallows that we walk through. They are easy to identify by seeing a whole with a mound of gravel. Please give a wide berth to these as these are the future salmon on our river. The thing to remember about this time of the year is fish are not going to work any harder then they have to, to get a meal. So you may have to fish a little harder and be a little more persistent in your fishing. We will be open Sat and sun 9-3. If you have any questions feel free to stop by the shop or if you just want to drop in to talk fishing we welcome you. Good luck out there and be mindful of the salmon.
