We have had a couple of days of solid fishing on the yakima lately. We fished a couple of days last week and it was well worth it. It was sunny and beautiful out, blue skies and no wind. We were the only boat on the water Monday and Tuesday. I was glad to get out and finally get some great fish. I was joined by my good freinds Eric and Rich and we had a blast. The fish were feeding on drys in the early after noon and streamers and nymphs in the morning. The fish are moving and they are starting to hold in faster water. They have not completly transitioned from the slow water so fish it also. Make clean casts and dont give up right away somtimes it takes more then a few good presentations to a fish before it will feed. Watch for those feeders and dont be scared to throw on the dry fly. Good luck out there and be careful the East Cle Elum take out is very unsafe from trees in the water at the take out. Be on your A game if your running a boat through that stretch. If your looking for a day of fishing give us a call we will get you on the water and get you on the fish. Get out why you can, I am sure there is another blow out on the way. I f you have any questions feel free to call us at the shop.
