The fishing has remained very good, the flows on the Yakima river are staying fairly stable but fluctuate up and down at times. The fishing has been pretty good. We have been throwing big patterns and having good success. The hopper season is here and the fish are taking full advantage of an easy meal. Structure has been a key focus for opportunistic fish. The fish are holding tight on those banks don’t be scared to sacrifice a fly or two to get in there were the fish are hiding. The lower Teanaway river is slowing down as the water is getting very low and warm. I went and fished with a good friend at Cooper Lake a few hours and we just put the hammer down on a pile of trout. Joel even managed to catch a really nice brown trout that was hiding out in a log pile. Stop by the shop to get some hopper patterns and any necessary info about fishing in the upper county.
