This week has been epic fishing on the Yakima River. The river came back into shape quick after the little blow out we had last week. The Teanaway is in good shape which means all the water below it is fishing well. We put in some seroius time fishing over the last week and it was well worth being on the water. We had great fishing and good weather most of this past week. Today was a little soggy but the fishing was good and nobody was out fishing. There have been great hatches coming off, it has been a buffet of insects for the fish. We have been seeing March browns, Bwo’s, salmon flies and millions of caddis. The caddis are in full swing and the fish are on them. There are logs across the cle elum just above the confluence that requires a portage, no way around other then up and over. Bristol is now by permission only so dont go in with out talking too and getting permission from the land owner. The dry fly fishing is fianally here, it has been very consistant this last week, the best I have seen it all year thus far, so get out while you can and get some. We are taking bookings for trips and the shop is open. July and August are filling up quick so if you want to get a spot call soon and book it. Good luck out there and be safe if you want swing by the shop and say hi and talk fishing please do so. Weekends only for the shop.
