The Yakima has dropped very rapidly and is still dropping. The fishing has remained steady. I was on the river several days over the last week and the fishing was very good. The fish are on the move, focus your efforts on the water that is a least 3 feet deep. Look for structure in deeper water. Rocks, logs and Brush are key for locating those bigger fish. I have been working the riffles coming into runs they have been holding lots of fish. Walk and waders you should be able to get out there now as there is lots of accessible water. We are seeing good October caddis coming off but they are sporadic at best. We are seeing some bwo’s and crane fly’s. Take notice of the bugs that are present while you are fishing and match the hatch. We are in the Shop from 900-330 Sat and Sun. We are prepping for our second trip to the Okanogan where we will be fishing the Kettle and a private lake. If you want to catch some huge rainbows we still have a few openings. If you want info on the Okanogan trip feel free to contact the shop or stop by. If you want to just stop by and talk fishing we are your shop. good luck out there fellow anglers we hope you have tight lines. To contact us call 509-260-0087.
