Yakima River fishing report for the week of the 10th of July

The Yakima River has been fishing great, we have been seeing the water rising over the past few weeks and are now at summer flows. There are alot of insects on the water right now. We are seeing caddis in the evenings, Yellow sallies, PMD’S, Golden stones and of course the hoppers. We have been on the water alot and have had very good success on all of the patterns mentioned above. The river is hard to wade so be careful if you are walk and wading very swift and dangerous. This is the time of the year to take a boat down the river and we would love to show you this amazing and diverse Blue ribbon fishery. The Cle Elum River not wadable. The cle elum is fishing by boat but, has just been ok. The Teanaway River is starting to fish. The Teanaway is a great fishery to take learning flyfisherman or kids. Cooper lake is on fire as I fished it lastnight and we caught a bunch of fish. We threw nymphs, drys and streamers and had success on all the above. We are now taking bookings for float trips and our Okanogan/Kettle River trip the 4th,5th, and 6th of October.
